I often look in the fridge, see nothing that sounds good, and proclaim there is nothing to eat, lol
Soooooo familiar. Frequent after-school discussion in my house: 8yo - I’m starving! Me - eat some fruit. 8yo - I don’t WANT fruit....

It's different when you have ingredients. It's not food ready to eat.

TBH, I have that "but we only have ingredients, not *food*" thing a lot, too. Especially when it comes to protein.
It took me 45 years to grow out of that phase. Now I look a little harder but I also make the fruit easier to eat, it's already pe...

My teen and 8 yo. Every day. I offer to teach how to cook... They never take me up on that.

Every single day! My daughter says we have an “ingredient house” not a “food house” 😂
My fridge, freezer, and deep freeze are packed. Yet we still have “nothing to eat”. Uuuuuuuuugh.
