This story hits a little too close to home. My wife and I live about 15 minutes from the Fern Hollow bridge and we frequently hike in Frick Park on the exact trail where the collapsed bridge landed. Unfortunately, this is not a unique situation. Now we have to address the 174 other bridges in Allegheny County given the same "poor" rating by PennDOT inspectors.
